BOS Quick Build -containers offer versatile solutions for various industries, including construction, fire and flood remediation, and rental industries.
Our wind and weather resistant units come in six different sizes and can be easily fitted to suit self-storage and portable -storage businesses.
BOS container units have a self-supporting structure and are light-weight yet strong. Assembled containers can be moved either by hoisting with a crane or carrying with a forklift.
Total weight capacity for the units are:
• 3’x7’ – 1 ton, or 2,200 lbs.
• 7’x7’ – 2 tons or 4,400 lbs.
• 10’x7’ and 13’x7’, 17’x7’ and 20’x7’ – 3 tons, or 6,600 lbs.
The above numbers include the container’s own weight. For example, a 10 ft container’s weight is 900 lbs. and can be filled with a further 5,700 lbs. and still be lifted using a crane. Forklifting the units is approved for up to 2 metric tons (4,400 lbs.) of weight.
Snow load capacity is 43 lbs./ft2 (210 kg/m2). The container floor is made of 3/4” (18mm) OSB 3 – which has been treated for moisture and insects. The weight bearing capacity for the floor is 100 lbs./ft2 (500 kg/m2). Wind load is up to 100 mph (160 km/h).
BOS Quick Build – Containers are made of 20 gauge (0.8 mm) thick galvanized, recycled steel. Metal used on the floor section is 12 gauge (2 mm) thick. Assembled and fully loaded units can be stacked three (3) units high outdoors and four (4) units high indoors. The load inside the units must be evenly distributed.
Every container comes with a door handle and has a secure cylinder lock equipped with three keys. Detachable panels can be carried to job sites – even through difficult, tight spaces! Assembly and knock down of the units can be done on-site and even in tight spaces. The containers are easy to repair – detachable panels can be replaced if damaged.”
